What can you access from our bike path?
Nearly everything!
After a summer of road construction, we are excited to announce that the bike path that runs directly by our property (and associated construction) is now complete! Grab your sneakers, bicycle, or unicycle and safely explore north or south of Snake River Cabins to access Jackson Hole and beyond. You can even bike on this car-free pathway straight from Snake River Cabins to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Grand Teton National Park! What are some of our favorite nearby day trips via our new bike path?
To hiking trails
Snake River Cabin’s is conveniently located five miles on the bike path to Game Creek Trailhead, an extensive trail network that crawls through the beautiful Wyoming flora and fauna on a variety of quiet, singletrack trails. Feeling energetic? This trail network can eventually bring you over a summit into the Cache Creek trail network, which connects to Snow King Mountain in downtown Jackson.
Learn more about our paved and single track pathway network from local non-profit, Friends of Pathways.
To our favorite restaurant
If you take a right out of Snake River Cabins and travel north for 6.6 miles, you’ll find one of our favorite places to grab a burger, cheesesteak, wings or brunch (brunch is only on Sundays). The Bird is a laid back restaurant and bar with a huge deck overlooking the western Jackson Hole valley. Catch a beautiful sunset over the Teton range, choose from one of their 21 burger combinations, and grab a locally-famous sloshie or ice cream bar from the Jackson Hole Marketplace (South Jackson’s go-to deli, liquor store and grocer) right next door.
To the river
Even though Snake River Cabins offers direct river access on our private shore, you can also take the bike path to a variety of alternative river put-ins to get your feet wet and cool down on a hot summer day.
To Jackson Hole
While you’re at it, you might as well bike to the town square in downtown Jackson! Shop, dine and dive into the history of Wyoming at our local museums and galleries during a day well spent exploring downtown Jackson.
